the best way to spend a saturday morning

Most Saturdays, Hubby and I like to start the morning by going out for a delicious sit-down breakfast. This particular Saturday, we stayed downtown to enjoy the Petaluma crepe and Belgian waffles at Crepevine. (Our other favorite breakfast/brunch place is Joanie’s on California St. in Palo Alto.) Afterward, we hopped across the street to check out the new non-fiction selection at Books, Inc. Then, after quickly swinging by the house, we took Maggy to the neighborhood park, where she befriended a handsome German Shepherd named Rusty. The weather was warm—67 degrees!—our dog was happy, and everything just felt so comfortable. Despite the cold/flu that’s suddenly befallen me these past couple of days (I blame the traveling), I actually felt pretty good this morning. Now let’s make this goodness continue on to Sunday morning!
